Hello EVERYONE!

the 2009 open house is finally over..GOOD JOB to all of us, ,even though there weren't many people who went to the open house.according to some of our audiences, the song was alright. but still...we need to brush up on our skills and be prepared for SYF. It is in APRIL! besides that we still have a guitar competition coming up in March.that means we have no time to waste!anyways, school will start next week and so will our practice. It will start on the first Wednesday of the term! more details will be given to all of you through sms and it will be posted on this blog!

so ... enjoy the rest of your holidays! 2 more days!( to finish all the undone homework).

HELLO EVERYONE!
looks like the blog is really dead.it's yet another new year.
HAPPY 2009 :D

anyways..here are some announcements which Mrs. Tie wrote on the board today. Just in case some of you didn't get it down somewhere, I'll post it up here.

Important Dates for 2009:

21st February 2009(Saturday) - Going to NUS for practice (Time Unconfirmed)
13th March 2009 (Friday) - Guitar Ensemble Competition $6/participant
@ Republic Poly (SYF Venue) 2pm-6pm
[COMPULSORY!]
30th March 2009 (Monday) - SYF Rehearsal @ Republic Poly 7pm -11pm

* Unconfirmed activities: - Outing to NUS for guitar concert $10/person
- Training with Mr Li ( CJC Alumni)

Besides those dates, there are still meetings coming up this week for Open House. Here are some details of the practices, setting up of booths and on the day itself.

Time & Date for CJC Open House:

Date: 9th January 2009 (Friday)

Meet Up Time: 11.00am for warm-ups (we'll order some lunch!)
Official Time: 1.00pm - 6.00pm
(We'll be expected to stay for awhile to clear up.If we're fast, we'll take less than 30 min)
Venue of Guitar Booth: Auditorium (On the left near the Entrance)
Venue of Performance: Performing Arts Centre (PAC)

SETTING UP OF BOOTH& REHEARSAL:

Date: 8th January 2009 (Thursday)
Time: 10am - 4pm (Might end earlier)
Rehearsal Time: 12pm
Venue: Performing Arts Centre (PAC)
- I guess we'll have to order lunch too.

On the 8th, besides rehearsal and some last minute brush ups for the songs, allocation of duty for the Open House will be given to each and everyone of us. Also, we have to help clean up the room, decorate the guitar boards and set up the booths. So we'll all be ready for the open house! With so many things to be done, I know it'll be a very long day. But hope you all will bear with it! It'll be fun! :D. If there's any questions feel free to ask me.
